Harewood House – Leeds: Built between 1759 and 1771 by Edwin Lascelles, Harewood House is an exceptionally fine example of an English country house. Bought by the Lascelles family in 1738, the families increasing wealth brought a rise in social and political standing, and Edwin Lascelles, the first Lord of Harewood, wanted a house to reflect this.

Knowsley Park – Prescot, Liverpool: Set in 2,500 acres of parkland, Knowsley Park is a historic house that has been in the ownership of the Stanley family since 1385. The Hall has undergone an extensive restoration, returning the state rooms to their former glory, and now offers an excellent setting for all types of event.

Wilton House – Wilton, Salisbury: Standing on the site of a 9th Century nunnery founded by King Alfred, Wilton House has remained in the family since around 1542, and is now the home of William Herbert, who is the 18th Earl of Pembroke and 15th Earl of Montgomery. After a fire in 1647 that severely damaged the interior of the South range, the house had to be rebuilt and was done so by John Webb. A truly fantastic house that is full of history and must be visited.

Stonor Park – Henley-on-Thames: One of England’s oldest manor houses, Stonor Park is located in the Chiltern Hills. Owned by the same family for 850 years, the house is a group of medieval buildings, with the first recorded building believed to date back to the late 12th Century. In addition, the house includes a chapel that was built between 1280 and 1331.
