The nightlife in Koh Samui includes many bars, discos and nightclubs where you can dance, play darts or shoot pool. By law, most of the bars must close by 2 a.m., but some of the clubs are allowed to stay open past this time in case you are not ready to call it a night.

Most of these establishments are found on the Chaweng beach. The long strip of Chaweng Beach Road may require a taxi ride, but if you should take a cab, you need to negotiate the rate before you get in. Once you have made it to Chaweng, you can check out some of the more popular clubs and discos such as Green Mango or the Reggae Pub. If live music is your thing, you can try pubs such as the Coco Blues Company or Tropical Murphy’s.

Chaweng is not the only spot in the city with a viable nightlife. Lamai also houses various nightclubs and pubs. Couples may enjoy other beaches such as Bo Phut, Choeng Mon or Maenam for a romantic ambience. Lipa Noi has the BBC Restaurant that boasts a spectacular sunset for the couple or nature lover. There are many ways to spend the evening and night enjoying yourself in the city whether you want to party or relax.
